Ingredients:
1 pound chicken breasts, cut into one-inch strips that are three inches long
1 pound bacon, cut strips in half
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
½ cup dark brown sugar
3 tablespoons cayenne pepper
Toothpicks
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 425℉.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place a metal rack on top, this keeps the bacon out of its grease and allows it to become crispy around the chicken.
In a medium sized bowl mix the salt, pepper, brown sugar, and cayenned pepper together.
Take one piece of chicken and wrap one of the half pieces of bacon around it. Secure the bacon to the chicken with a toothpick, ensuring the toothpick goes through both sides of the chicken and bacon.
Roll the bacon wrapped chicken in the brown sugar mixture and place on top of the metal rack above the cookie sheet.
Continue until there is no more chicken.
Bake for 15 – 20 minutes. Remove for oven let cool before serving.
